The MateBook is
ultra-sleek (6.9 mm thin) and weighs about 640 g. Its design looks like that of
the Apple iPad Pro. It has a 12-inch IPS TFT LCD screen with 2160 x 1440
pixels resolution. Just like the Apple’s, it also comes with a MatePen. The
MatePen looks like a combination of the Apple Pencil and the Surface Pro’s Pen.
Huawei MateBook runs
the 6th-gen Intel Core M dual-core processor (clocked up to 3.1GHz)
with 4GB and 8GB LPDDR3 RAM versions. It comes in three SSD space
options: 128GB, 256GB and 512GB respectively. It will run Windows 10
Home and there’s a Windows 10 Pro option for it too.
The MateBook
has Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac MIMO, Bluetooth 4.1 for connectivity and the sensors
in the device are Ambient light sensor, fingerprint, accelerometer,
gyroscope and Hall sensor.
It has a five megapixel
fixed focus front camera, dual-digital Mic and dual front speakers. It has a USB
3.1 type C jack, and a keyboard smart cover connector.
Its battery is 33.7W(4430mAh@7.6V) and Huawei will
be giving a USB-C to micro-USB cable in the box as well.
Huawei says the MatePen
features a sensor that detects over 2048 levels of sensitivity, and has
rechargeable lithium battery, which offers up to 100 hours of use with a
single charge.
