National Identity Card, if you have enrolled; follow these few simple steps:
Step 1: Visit https://touch.nimc.gov.ng
Step 2: When the page opens, scroll down to a button that says
‘click to proceed’ so you can access the form to fill your enrollment details.
See screen shot below.
Step 3: When the form opens, carefully fill in your enrollment
details exactly the way you supplied them when you went for the enrollment
process. See screen short below.
When you are done with filling the form, click
on the button that says ‘check now’ and the status of your National Identity
Card will be displayed.

Its awesome what the federal government is doing with NIMC in making sure we all get registered and obtain our own national ID card. However, its really annoying for one to have to wait for 2 to 3 years after registration before the card will be available for collection.
DeleteIf you look at it, when such card is finally delivered after the long wait, the supposed individual (especially in the case of young people/students) whose photo was taken might no longer look as though the ID card belongs to them since they now look a lot older and different.
Apart from that, in the case of theft, or loss, getting back the ID card with such a long wait can actually make individuals to give up on it entirely which to me is not encouraging.

I got a test from NImc that my card is ready but on reaching the office for collection another story came in that my card is among those that has an error that they will send another SMS when it is ready. ReplyDeleteThanks for your initiative. I cant do any form of tranctions ònline or offline due to the poor system of our country. My bank and online investment are put on hold due to delay of my national id. Even the temporary slip given prove not useful since it is not accepted.

Till now my slip has not been given to me, anytime I get there they will ask me to come back in two weeks time even when I got there yesterday, asked what is the problem, because if it takes so long to process ordinary slip, how many years would I wait to collect the ID card itself. ReplyDeletePls I need clarification on this matter, I did the normal registration for nimc and I haven't been given the temporary slip not to talk of the card itself, I registered march 7th I was told that after a week i would get the temporary slip so that I can sort out my acct issues since they refused to accept the immediate slip I was given insisting that I should get the temporary but up until today I haven't been given the temporary slip they will always say come in two weeks time then when I get there it will always be come in many weeks time again and they will not give any explanation for that pls I need to know why this is so as I solely depend on this to reactivate my bank acct.

Dear Malachy. My Nimc has been on error since last 5years i did it and i tried enrolling for another one with my new surname, it still went on error.This NIMC keeps fustrating me, am i not a Nigerian Citizen? Please help me.
ReplyDeleteI think the problem is not with the system, but the site we are directed to go and check. Why will everyone return with the same message, not even one person can confirm his or his card is ready. Mr Attama, you re just making money with this blog site. I see this as misleading.
